Recently retired engineer. Woodworking experience includes renovation of an 1840’s brick cape house, saving a 38′ by 54′ barn, and building a camp. Although accuracy was required with the renovation and home building projects it falls far short of skills required for furniture making. My goals are to begin to make furniture, windows and doors.
The Woodworkers Guild is a great place to meet skilled woodworking craftsmen and learn techniques which are shared freely. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

*Willing to do small commercial work.
Wes is a retired professional woodworker who conducted a business manufacturing architectural millwork for residential structures. This included historical woodwork features as windows, doors and entrances, interior woodwork, and stairs. Now, I am involved in crafting 18th century pre-industrial period furniture, which includes Jacobean, William & Mary, Queen Anne, and Chippendale. Designing furniture not only to reproduce authentic forms but also crafting with the use of hand tools is the satisfaction achieved through this work. |
