CNC GROUP MEETING:
WHERE:  Nathan Gardner’s Shop in Acton.
WHEN:    April 5, 9 AM
ALL ARE WELCOME – YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE A CNC!
Nathan will present the basics of doing CNC relief carving, called 2.5D.
Sometimes it’s call 3D, but it really isn’t quite as our machines can’t do undercuts.
He also plans on a demo showing how to start with a photo and carve it into relief.

BIG subgroup’s next meeting is on Saturday, April 26th at 9 AM
Location: Barbara White’s shop in Yarmouth (bjwhite7004@gmail.com)
Subject: Mortise and Tenon
Notes: We’ll practice cutting mortises on the drill press with both mortising bits
and regular round drill bits (then cleaning up the cut with a chisel), and practice
cutting tenons on the table saw. This is a method using tools most woodworkers
already have. No special equipment required.
